Letmesee, Churchrooms etc

2019–2023

Two earlier products: a blockchain social app at Axel, then a long UK client portal — social feed plus a shop for books and podcasts.

Role

UX/UI designer. First at Axel (Letmesee + touchpoints on Axel Go), then at Cieden on Churchrooms — a six-month UK product, not a two-week studio carousel.

What shipped

  • Axel / Letmesee: full redesign of a blockchain Instagram-like app for small communities and secure sharing. Built ~10 components for that product.
  • Axel Go: workshops with the lead designer on the larger product — a blockchain analogue of Google Drive. App Store screens I made under a same-day deadline replaced the previous set.
  • Churchrooms: won and kept a long client product. Desktop and mobile web for a UK Catholic portal — posts plus a shop for books and podcast recordings. Daily English delivery, requirements, design system for handoff.

What I learned

  • A lead title offered for initiative, not craft, is a red flag — I declined and went to UNIT.City.
  • I need to sit in one product and argue about consequences. A studio that swaps clients every two weeks is not that work.
  • Do not overclaim this period: the Letmesee redesign was not metric-led, even though metrics were the reason for the redesign.
